Job summary This is an exciting, permanent new role working alongside our Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to help our patients find ways around the challenges associated with illness or declining health and long term conditions in order to maximise strength, balance, mobility and independence in activities of daily living.Our Therapy Assistant role is based in Scarborough, on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast.
Our multi-speciality Community Services team works with adults in their own place of residence.
Main duties of the job Provide Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy interventions such as home exercise programmes, provision of equipment, & practising activities of daily living as delegated by a qualified therapist.
Moving & Handling of patients & equipment.
Carrying out vital observations.
Recognising and escalating issues of concern and/or safety.
Equipment provision, fitting & instruction in use.
Travelling alone by car in the community setting to provide care to patients in their own place of residence.
