They generate revenues of £100m+ and have delivered strong compound annual sales and EBITDA growth over the last 10 years.
As Commercial Finance Business Partner you'll lead on commercial insight to drive efficiencies, inform decision-making, and identify strategic opportunities underpinned by improved reporting and enhanced data governance.
As a key member of the finance leadership team, you'll be responsible for leading the trading insight and analysis across the business, working closely with Marketing and Merchandising functions as well as additional support for other functions as needed.
Supported by a Commercial Finance Analyst you will provide management insight through daily, weekly, and monthly reporting alongside investor presentations and support the financial planning cycle for your areas of the business.
You'll love being 'in the data' as well as stepping back, evaluating what the numbers are telling us and effectively communicating the results.
Being able to explain the story and the 'so what' implications of your analysis is a must have skill set.
You'll feel confident in proactively challenging assumptions and making recommendations for improvements.
This role has a lot of breadth and opportunity for stretch and would suit a candidate seeking to gain experience for 'Head of department' position within 2-3 years.
The Role... Business partner with the Marketing department to focus on effective use of digital and ATL marketing spend.
Enhance weekly/monthly reporting across key business partnering departments to give greater clarity and transparency of performance and raise levels of accountability and proactiveness in trading and delivery of profitable growth.
Marketing customer model and cohort analysis: owning the marketing customer model, linking to financial plan and marketing strategy.
Monthly review of econometrics reporting with key financial insights.
Detailed review and challenge of 3rd party econometrics modelling, ensure variances are understood.
Challenge model refinement as required and maximise level of profitable spend.
Utilise econometric data to ensure correct allocation of marketing costs and accurate reporting of channel and category profitability.
Working closely with the Merchandising function with focus on Out the door (Sales) modelling and insight.
Channel, category and partnerships profitability reporting and analysis of marketing cost allocations.
Drive P&L ownership through business partnering with departmental managers providing financial support, deep dive analysis and challenging the status quo to create efficiencies and business growth opportunities.
Review and challenge of quarterly forecasting, alignment to econometrics and link to R&O reporting.
Financial planning for marketing and partnerships including management of Risks and Opportunities.
Assist development of business data lake with IT enhancing financial reporting and analysis capabilities e.g.
markdown analysis, discount reporting and volume analysis.
Complete commercial analysis of projects for consideration by the Board of Directors/Investors.
Revenue, margin, and mix analysis and reporting.
Assist with forward-looking cashflow and updating rolling forecasts.
