Commercial Contracts Manager Duration - 12 Months Location - Warwick / Remote Summary My high-profile Utilities client is looking for a Commercial Contracts Manager to join their team Based at their Warwick offices (2 days a month on site) on an initial 12-month contract with chance of extensions.
Our client, a leading company in the utilities industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to join their team.
As the Commercial Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end contractual life cycle and supplier relationships.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position.
Responsibilities: Shape the commercial contracting strategy for our client's interconnectors business.
Act as the key commercial contact for the HVDC Engineering Team, providing support and best practises in Contract Management.
Support the development of contract management maturity and improvement across the supply chain.
Conduct audits of the supply chain to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Key Accountabilities: Manage the business budget, including risk and contingencies across projects.
Serve as the lead commercial representative on spot tenders or framework awards for HVDC Engineering.
Ensure contract compliance and provide assurance and training to the HVDC Engineering team.
Provide quality assurance of contracts and deliver cost evaluation pre-contract.
Offer independent reviews and advice on complex variations, as well as support the process of escalation and dispute avoidance/resolution.
Provide support and data to the HVDC Engineering Team for board and regulatory reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Experience: Experience in contract management in a construction and/or operational environment, including warranty management.
Strong commercial acumen and supply chain management skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desired Skills: Basic understanding or appreciation of Coupa and/or other invoicing and payment systems.
Understanding or appreciation of FastDraft and/or other contract management systems.
