SRM are partnered with a global IT services provider who are seeking someone immediately to join the team in London (hybrid working) for a 3month FTC with likelihood of this being extended.
This role is expected to provide support, analysis and pricing to the bid team to ensure the best possible outcomes, working both independently and collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary group of experts from within the business.
Duties: Ownership and construction of financial bid models as required (including existing company modelling tools), ensuring correct treatment for revenue recognition (IFRS15) and costs incurred, and adequate contingency provisions.
Provide reporting (including internal governance reporting requirements), analysis (including multiple scenarios), assessment and recommendations to the bid team and wider business as required.
Attend governance calls, ensuring bids have gone through the required governance and compliance and that they are costed and priced accurately.
Liaise with operational finance team to comply with audit and implement recommendations.
Work with the bid team and wider business in all aspects of providing financial pricing and costing, reporting and modelling support for all areas of the client bid.
Managing inputs from other members of the bid team (Service Lines, HR etc).Ensure accurate completion of customer pricing schedules.
Be willing to voice your view and look at the "art of the possible".
Experience: Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA qualified) with post qualified experience The successful candidate must have IT services industry experience.
Must have experience of complex pricing and costing for large value, large scale and multi-year infrastructure client bidding.
Extensive experience of unit-based pricing is essential, alongside thorough knowledge of services commercial models (fixed price, time & materials, support & infrastructure services) as well as experience of client bid processes.
Require experience of working in numerous bid teams alongside working with and managing stakeholders, presenting recommendations in an influential manner, needing to communicate persuasively and articulately and can explain complex concepts to non-financial persons.
Advanced user of Excel, along with use of standard M365 suite and Teams Having strong organisational, planning, prioritisation and presentation skills is key whilst being flexible to handle peaks in workload.
A proven track record of effectively influencing senior stakeholders from both an internal (company strategic priorities) and external perspective.
