Job summary We have a permanentopportunity for a Band 7 Clinical Specialist Dietitian which will sit withinthe Worcestershire Adult Eating Disorders Team.
The role will oversee andsupervise junior dietitians and establishing pathways of care trust wide acrossthe eating disorder teams.
The positionis , hours a week.We are seeking a highlymotivated, skilled, and registered dietitian who has experience of workingwithin eating disorders.
The postholder will clinically manage the dieteticaspect of the service, ensuring the service continues to meet national targets.The service is a countywidesmall outpatient therapy service eating disorder service that provides clinicalmanagement and treatment for patients with eating disorders.
The team hasrecently expanded as part of the community transformation project acrossHerefordshire and Worcestershire so you will be joining a well-established andsupportive team.The successful post holderwill work to the attached job description.
Main duties of the job Thesuccessful candidate will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary teamto support our client group through their treatment within our service.
Professionaldevelopment is encouraged; there are strong links with local and regional CPDand training networks, with regular trainees on specialist placements.
Thepost holder will be based in Worcestershire, however, is expected that the rolewill support the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Adult Eating Disorder andChild Eating Disorder services in supervising junior members of staff andestablishing pathways of care.

Job description Job responsibilities To workas part of the Eating Disorders Team and, through this, contribute to thedevelopment of appropriate outcome measures and care pathways, includingnutrition support initiatives within Worcestershire.To bepart of the leadership team within the service and will support the clinicallead with service development; this post includes a supervisory role to juniordietitians working in eating disorder services across the trust.Tomanage a clinical caseload providing a comprehensive and effective dieteticservice, using advanced/highly specialist knowledge and skills.To workcollaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team.For full detail of the duties and criteria please refer to the job description and person specification attached.
Person Specification Knowledge Essential Complex understanding of physiology, development and the physical and nutritional risks associated with this high-risk population (, refeeding syndrome) in order to make sound professional judgements following risk assessment, analysis and interpretation of treatment options Aware of and confident to advise on the use of nutritional products Additional Criteria Essential Able to meet the travel requirements of the role Skills & Abilities Essential Role modelling good behaviour Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English in both verbal and written formats Qualifications Essential Professional knowledge acquired through degree in dietetics supplemented by post graduate diploma specialist training, experience, short courses plus further specialist training to masters equivalent HCPC registration I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
Desirable Eating Disorders qualification Diploma in Practitioner Skills for Eating Disorders or equivalent Psychotherapy qualification basic certificate in counselling Experience Essential Significant recent clinical dietetic experience including relevant training and experience within eating disorders and able to manage a caseload of clients with complex needs.
Evidence of CPD in a range of clinical settings relevant to this post.
Experience of working as an integral member of the MDT Experience of working with change behaviour techniques Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team Contribution to audit and research Experience of delivering malnutrition screening training to staff Experience of working with patients with mental health conditions Demonstrates leadership skills Demonstrates specialist clinical knowledge and skills related to working with patients who have eating disorders, particularly patients with complex co-morbid needs Has knowledge of all forms of nutritional support Evidence of evaluation and audit skills Clear understanding of quality governance Risk management Staff development Clinical supervision Management supervision Experience of teaching/training Desirable Experience of managing HR issues
