We strive to generate practical investment insights for clients in a range of ways, including performing customised analyses, publishing research and building tailored strategies across asset classes in both public and private markets.
The team's 100+ members span multiple global offices and specialties whilst working closely with a number of PIMCO teams, including Account Managers, Portfolio Managers and Product Specialists.ResponsibilitiesYou will partner with senior Strategists within Client Solutions & Analytics to engage with Account Managers and their clients, understand their investment objectives and support the design of solutions to meet their individual objectives.
The role requires a solid understanding of all major asset classes and how they interact in a portfolio.The key mandates can be summarised as follows:Supporting the team in the delivery of asset allocation and risk management solutions to clients and prospects – both in assets-only and in ALM space - working closely with senior members in the team, Account Management, Product Management and Portfolio Management as requiredUse proprietary software and external data sources to run risk analytics, optimisations, economic scenario analyses and stress testsHelp build presentation books that detail PIMCO's analysis and recommendationsMaintain marketing and thematic materials such as presentation books and other general education materialsPerform risk management, attribution and other product analysis reports on a periodic basis as requiredSupport senior Strategists and Quantitative Research Analysts to generate thought leadership: build models and generate intellectual capital for PIMCO's Solutions activitiesManage a workload of multiple simultaneous client projects, while ensuring that deadlines are metRequirements1-3 years of meaningful work experience, preferably in investment consulting, although backgrounds from buy-side and sell-side institutions will also be consideredRobust quantitative and analytical skills, modelling and advanced excel skills are requiredStrong interpersonal skills, ability to articulate ideas / strategies clearly, both verbally and in writingFluency in English with another European language desirablePassion for financial markets, macroeconomics and investment managementProven general investment knowledge across an array of asset classesStrong results orientation and an ability to run multiple agendas concurrentlyProactive, well organised, high-energy self-starter who works well in a team environmentAbility to tackle sophisticated problems efficiently to a tight-deadline in a fast-paced professional environmentIdeally working towards industry recognised qualification such as CFA, CAIA, FIA
