Job Role: HGV Class 1 Driver Rate of Pay: From £50,000 per annum £16.80 for the first 40 hours £21.00 after 40 hours Additional allowance paid for overnight stays.
Additional bonus paid for driving of 30 seated buses.
Working week: An average of a 55 hour working week on a rolling shift pattern Week 1 (5 on 1 off) Week 2 (5 on 2 off) Note: 1 in 12 full weekends off.
Shifts start at either 4am or 9am for drivers depending on the destination, furthest travel is into Scotland.
Must be able to use Counterbalance Forklift when at the farms to load lorries.
Responsibilities: Ensure fresh goods are transported both safely and securely Occasionally operate the 30 seater company bus (PSV will be funded if not obtained already) Carrying out various trailer work; including chilled refrigerators, curtain siders, low loaders, and containers.
Ensuring all delivery and collection notes and paperwork are correct Operate a forklift or pump truck as and when required to load and /or unload vehicles Taking responsibility for the security of any products carried whilst in transit.
