Civils Supervisor

We are expanding VEA Telecoms are looking for Civil Supervisor to work out of our busy depot in Manchester.
We are a fast growing company with progression available to the right candidates.  As a Civil Supervisor in the Telecoms Industry, you will play a vital role in overseeing the construction and maintenance of civil infrastructure projects related to our telecommunications network.
You will be responsible for coordinating and managing teams, ensuring the timely completion of projects, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage civil construction projects, including but not limited to ducting, trenching, reinstatements, and cable laying.
Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to ensure efficient project execution.
Oversee and guide teams of civil workers, ensuring their compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as project managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure smooth project delivery.
Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and local authorities to obtain necessary permits and permissions for project activities.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Maintain accurate documentation, including project reports, records, and relevant paperwork.
Support the training and development of team members, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience as a Civil Supervisor or similar role within the telecommunications industry is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of civil construction techniques, methodologies, and materials used in telecom infrastructure projects.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Sound understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining safe working environments.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to adapt to changing project requirements.
Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for project management and documentation.
A valid driving license is required.
