We have an exciting opportunity foran Occupational Therapists to join our innovative Children and Young People's Integrated TherapiesService!
Your role:Lead the charge in developing, delivering, and coordinating a core training program in collaborationwith our local partners.
You'll be at the forefront of:- Shaping whole-setting approaches- Pioneering early identification and intervention strategies- creating a place-based model for addressing diverse therapy needs Core Training Offer:Our core training offer is a vital part of our local offer, designed to:- Educate, coach, and upskill adults who work with children and young people (CYP)- Focus on improving occupational performance and speech, language, and communicationneeds (SLCN)- Empower the community to better support our CYP's development and well-being Main duties of the job As a key member of our team, you will lead on the following critical activities: -Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for various stakeholders.-Training Program Development: Create innovative and comprehensive training materials tailored to our parents/families, educational settings, and team around the CYP needs.-Training Coordination: Manage logistics, schedules, and resources to ensure smooth program execution.-Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build strong relationships with partners and participants to maximize program impact.-Continuous Improvement: Incorporate feedback from participants and stakeholders to enhance the quality and effectiveness of training.

Person Specification EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING Essential BSc OT or Dip COT Professional registration with HCP.
Member of BAOT/COT or equivalent for professional indemnity.
Member of Specialist Section of the College of Occupational Therapy CYPF Evidence of Post Graduate CPD Registered member of the Royal College of Speech And Language Therapists Recognised Speech & Language Therapy degree qualification or equivalent Health Professions Council Licence to Practice Evidence of continuing professional development and personal development.
Experience Essential Experience of working in a range of clinical settings to include community and hospital.
Evidence of good presentation skills Evidence of supervision of others Evidence of specialist knowledge/skills resulting from clinical experience and CPD.
Experience of producing and delivering training packages to a variety of audiences Clinical experience in a variety of settings.
Demonstrates knowledge of specialist SLT assessment tools relevant to the client group Demonstrates knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic intervention Demonstrates awareness of the roles of other professionals Demonstrates awareness of standards of record keeping Able to maintain intense concentration Skills, Abilities, & Knowledge Essential Knowledge of how lack of functional impacts on participation Motivated to learn and evidence of CPD Evidence of successful team working Ability to prioritise and manage own time Approachable nature with the ability to motivate and inspire others Evidence of leadership skills and qualities.
Excellent interpersonal skills including delegation of tasks Access to own transport to enable access to a wide variety of community settings.
