This is an exciting time for TPR as the pensions sector is at a pivotal point, prompting a major shift in our focus.
Our bold corporate strategy envisions a dynamic evolution of pensions regulation to keep pace with industry changes.
We're shifting from a compliance-focused approach to a risk-based, high-performance culture, requiring new capabilities, training, and behaviours.
The evolution of our organisation means we are moving to being a more proactive and influential regulator, with effective market oversight and a greater focus on innovation underpinned by strong data and digital capability.
By joining TPR at this exciting time, you'll be a key part of an organisation that will impact millions of lives for decades to come.
About the role This role is pivotal in driving our transformation and fostering a high-performance organisation through alignment, accountability, collaboration, and a performance mindset.
You will lead the people and associated functions in TPR, including workforce development, employee relations, and reward, and will provide professional HR advice to the Board.
You will operate at a visionary and strategic level while delivering operational excellence through a well-structured and led HR function.
As a key member of the Executive team and the Executive Committee, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Board, you will develop and implement a people and culture strategy enabling TPR to achieve our corporate goals.
You will lead the HR function to ensure our practices enable our transformation, promote new ways of working, and ensure our people have the tools they need to excel.
Additionally, you will align our policies and practices with our values and our risk-based, performance-centred approach.
This role will be pivotal in ensuring TPR remains a great place to work, and a diverse, transparent, and inclusive environment.
About you If you're a forward-thinking HR professional at director level or equivalent, ready to drive change, deliver operational excellence, and make a significant impact, we want to hear from you.
This role is critical to our success as an organisation.
We are seeking an experienced HR leader with demonstrable evidence of where and how you have supported organisational transformation and enhanced a performance culture in the context of a compassionate and supportive environment.
Our new CPO will be a highly engaging, people-oriented communicator with the ability to deliver a compelling message to colleagues at all levels.
Experience of the working landscape within a public sector environment will be advantageous but not essential; however, we would value your experience of building strong relationships with trade unions.
We follow a hybrid working pattern, with leaders required to work 8 days a month in Brighton.
