STS Aviation Services is rapidly growing and seeking a CMSE to join our team at the Manchester Hangar.
As a leading UK MRO, we offer an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our next chapter of growth and success.
Position Summary As a CMSE, you will collaborate with Check Managers, Commercial, and Materials Coordinators to ensure effective aircraft delivery within agreed timelines.
This role will be part of shift two at MAN, working Monday to Friday from 15:00 to 23:30.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Liaise with customers to agree on over and above (O&A) tasks, ensuring sign-off before work commences.
Discuss and highlight any O&A queries with Commercial.
Monitor booking reports to identify potential overruns or booking errors affecting O&A's.
Create, maintain, and send Task Card over-runs and O&A sheets for review.
Monitor check budgets at the task card level and highlight overruns to managers and technicians.
Assist the Check Manager in delivering aircraft maintenance in line with the agreed plan.
Update the Daily Status and Customer Status Report accurately.
Create and send daily reports to customers showing open/closed cards at the task level.
Coordinate contracted and sub-contracted activities to maintain project timelines.
Liaise with third-party working parties to ensure POs and work are carried out.
Raise additional cards added to the work pack.
Participate in daily progress meetings with the CM and customer.
Ensure problems are dealt with promptly to minimize disruption.
Skills and Abilities Indentured apprenticeship or equivalent in aviation engineering or similar mechanical engineering field.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and be flexible to meet changing requirements.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Commercial awareness.
Full UK Driving license essential.
Reporting in line with agreed business needs.
Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel.
Role-Based Requirements Reports to the Base Maintenance Manager (BMM).
Working hours as required by business needs, with flexibility.
Data accuracy is paramount.
Ability to move between projects as needed.
Leave applications approved by the BMM in line with company policy.
