Celebrating and Inspiring Children Who Do It Differently is a service funded by Surrey and Borders NHS Trust and offers support to 6-16 year olds living in Surrey, attending a Surrey State School.
The Celebrating Service offer their support under the Mindworks Alliance (formerly CAMHS).
The groups run for 5/6 weeks and coincide with the school half terms.
This post is for 39 weeks per year.
The team run groups on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursday across the county of Surrey, therefore a full UK driving licence and access to your own car is a must for this role.
Our mileage expenses policy is that you can claim miles that are an extension of your miles to and from the office hub which is based in Leatherhead Surrey.
To be able to claim for mileage expenses colleagues must have business car insurance which covers travel between multiple places of work.
This can be discussed and administrative support given to the successful candidate.
The Celebrating and Inspiring Team has a dedicated admin colleague who liaises with the schools in Surrey to book in groups.
There are always two Barnardo's colleagues running the groups, one colleague leads and one colleague supports.
The colleague leading the session is responsible for the admin linked to that group.
The leading and supporting roles are shared fairly across the team throughout the 5/6 week rotations.
Full training is provided to ensure you are confident with the admin and leading our sessions.
Essential for the role:Full UK Driving Licence upon application and access to a car.Once appointed organise business car insurance to be able to claim mileage expenses.Ability to work independently and part of a team.Good written and verbal use of the English Language.Good understanding of Neurodevelopmental conditions predominantly ADHD.
Strong understanding of safeguarding of staff and children.Keen eye for detail to accurately record paperwork.
Organised individual to manage a busy working diary with groups across the week in different parts of the county.
Full training is provided for this role.This role is 15 hours per week, to be worked over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.
Likely to be two longer days on Tuesday and Thursday so cater for the sessions that run on these days but must be available to support the service on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday as service needs change.
Each half term the team are in new schools, so there is a lot of variation over the academic year which provides a fast pace and interesting role.
This role is worked term time only - 39 weeks per annum.
The days are non-negotiable as these are the days the service run groups.
Sessions can start at schools from 8:30am, travel across the whole of Surrey is required and arrival 15 minutes before session start time is a requirement of the role.
