Description Job Description & Person Specification > We monitor over 300 CCTV cameras across Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, working with our partners to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our CCTV Control Room as a CCTV Operator.
You will be a key member of our dedicated team, working to help safeguard our community, locate missing individuals and gather evidence to support our Anti-Social Behaviour Team and Police.
We are in search of a passionate individual who possess keen attention to detail with sharp observational skills and capable of prioritising urgent requests with clarity.
Your role will involve building strong partnerships with the Police, licensed premises, retailers, and Government Enforcement Agencies; working together for a safer Torbay.
You will find yourself at the heart of our operations in the CCTV Control Room, working a shift pattern that includes evenings, nights, and weekends.

Skills Essential: Effective observation skills with the ability to respond effectively to different situations.
Prioritise multiple commitments and respond in order of urgency.
Effective communication skills with the ability to use a variety of communication systems to receive and relay messages.
Must be precise and able to pay attention to detail.
Good decisions as part of team or independently.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
Knowledge Essential: Ability to recall and replay information accurately.
Basic knowledge of locations & streets within Torbay.
Ability to follow defined procedure.
Experience & Qualifications Essential: CCTV Monitoring experience.
