Job Description An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Catering Manager to be based on site at Loreto College, Manchester.
This is a permanent role which will involve working predominantly Monday to Friday with some weekend and evening work for events.
The role will report into the Director of Operations for the region.
The impressive site has 4,000 students and this individual will work as part of a team to oversee the day to day running of services at Loreto College leading both the front and back of house teams whilst working closely with two senior chefs who operate the two kitchens on site.
The Catering Manager will oversee a retail shop, Coffee Outlet and two restaurants delivering services for 6th Form Students.
In addition, the Catering Manager will be responsible for the smooth operation of the significant hospitality requirements for the site to include working lunches, coffee/tea, departmental events and weekly meeting along with pre-planned evening and weekend events during the academic year.
An enhanced DBS is essential, and we are ideally looking for someone to start by December 2024.
What's in it for you: A competitive salary of up to £34,000, DOE 40 hour working week (to include some weekend and evening work as required) Site closure for Christmas On site parking Meals on shift Pension scheme Term Time only contract with all college holidays off (41 working weeks per year) Full training and opportunity for development Job Responsibilities Managing a team of staff c15-20 to include all recruitment, onboarding, training, development plans, appraisals, performance management, offboarding etc Management of the multiple kitchen teams who in turn are responsible for the food production which includes breakfast, lunch and hospitality requirements.
Preparing and conducting client quarterly reviews Facilitating new business, retention activities and identifying opportunities for growth Preparing and managing financial projections, daily, weekly and monthly financial reporting Budget and stock management Internal and external stakeholder management; building relationships and driving engagement Compliance with statutory legislation/company policy food safety and health and safety including HACCP and allergen awareness Overseeing all hospitality for the College Key Requirements Experience in a people management role and demonstrated experience managing a team to success A hospitality, retail background managing food production to tight budgets and to volumes Strong relationship management skills and the ability to engage both students and Hi key stakeholders About Aramark Northern Europe - Our Mission Rooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.
