You'll be an integral part of creating an experience that delights our residents daily.
Working closely with our Chef, you'll help deliver nutritious, home-cooked meals that make mealtimes something to look forward to.Your Role as a Catering Assistant: As a Catering Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our team, helping to deliver tasty, nutritious meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents.
Working closely with our Chef, you'll be involved in every step of meal preparation and presentation, including: Preparing Ingredients: Washing, peeling, and chopping fresh produce, ensuring everything is ready for the day's meals.Assisting with Cooking: Following recipes, helping to cook, and adding final touches to ensure meals are flavourful and visually appealing.Serving Meals: Assisting with meal plating, serving residents, and making sure every dish meets dietary requirements and presentation standards.Maintaining Kitchen Hygiene: Cleaning equipment and surfaces, washing dishes, and following strict food safety and hygiene guidelines.Stock Management: Monitoring stock levels, helping with inventory checks, and ensuring ingredients are stored and rotated properly to maintain freshness.Sandstone employees enjoy a range of benefits:Free uniform.

However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions.
