Position: Caretaker/Maintenance Operative – New Build to Rent Development Location: West London Position Type: Full-time Salary: £28K About the Role: My client is seeking a proactive and dedicated Caretaker/Maintenance Operative to join the team at a brand new Build to Rent development.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about property upkeep, with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards across a modern residential environment.
You will be integral to ensuring the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of residents by providing efficient day-to-day maintenance and support across the property.
Key Responsibilities: Property Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and carry out general repairs and minor maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical fixes, and general wear-and-tear repairs.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety regulations are met, including fire safety checks, emergency lighting, and other H&S protocols.
Work with contractors to ensure all compliance standards are met.
Common Area Upkeep: Maintain communal spaces, including lobbies, hallways, and outdoor areas to present a clean, welcoming environment for residents.
Resident Support: Act as the first point of contact for residents needing assistance with maintenance issues, ensuring prompt and friendly service.
Preventative Maintenance: Assist in scheduling and performing routine maintenance checks on building systems and infrastructure to prevent larger issues.
Inventory & Supplies: Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and materials, coordinating restocking as needed.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the property management team to ensure the development runs smoothly and residents are well-supported.
