Canteen Chef

About the Role: New Resource Recruitment is currently seeking a Canteen Cook to join our client in Melksham for a 3-month fixed-term contract.
In this role, you will primarily support the Canteen Supervisor in daily operations and step in to deputise during their absence.
This position offers a great work-life balance with no evening, weekend, or bank holiday shifts.
Key Responsibilities: Open and close kitchen procedures Daily kitchen management Cash handling and end-of-day reporting Food ordering and preparation Maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards Serving food and managing the service counter Stocking and cleaning vending machines General cleaning of canteen tables What Were Looking For: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the hospitality and catering industry Strong working knowledge of the Safer Food, Better Business Manual Ability to manage daily kitchen operations and handle cash Experience in food preparation, ordering, and maintaining cleanliness standards Benefits: 30 hours per week (with a paid 20-minute break) Uniform provided Monday to Friday shifts, no evenings, weekends, or bank holidays Interested in applying?
