Description Buyer / Senior BuyerPermanent Role: Buyer / Senior Buyer£40,000 - £65,000 p.a plus benefits based on experienceCAREER OPPORTUNITY – LINCOLNSHIRE BASED RESIDENTIAL GROUNDWORKS COMPANY, LOOKING TO ADD A BUYER / SENIOR BUYER TO THEIR EXPANDING TEAM, VERY BUSY WITH UPCOMMING PROJECTS.Duties:-Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services required for projects.-Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.-Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to achieve cost-effective deals.-Monitor and analyse market trends to anticipate changes in material costs and availability.-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and timelines.-Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.-Manage inventory levels and logistics to optimize efficiency and minimise project delays.-Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.Requirements:-Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the Residential Groundworks industry.-Solid understanding of materials, specifications, and supply chain management.-Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favourable terms and pricing.-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.-Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.-Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
