Buyer - It & Indirects

Job Description A leading Infrastructure contractor is looking for a Buyer to join their team in Watford on either a permanent or a 12 Month Fixed Term basis.
The main objective of the role is to carry out IT and Indirect procurement for the business.
You will: Identify and evaluate suppliers of IT and indirect products and services Negotiate contracts and terms with new and existing suppliers Work with internal stakeholders to monitor inventory levels of IT and Indirect categories Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers Ensure savings, rebates and compliance levels are achieved across the categories Why Apply This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading function within a business that is on a growth strategy.

Further Details Responsible for group IT and indirect categories including professional services, HR and marketing.
The role will start with operational duties such as order placing and order chasing, then will move to be more strategic.
If you're currently working in an operational role, our client is happy to provide full strategic training.
Candidate Requirements Minimum of 2 years' IT or indirect procurement experience working for any large complex organisation.
Ideally you will have experience of carrying out strategic procurement, however our client is open to looking at candidates who are currently transactionally buying as full training can be provided.
