Our client, a leader in garden care solutions, is looking for an experienced UK Buyer with a solid financial or technical manufacturing background.
This role offers a unique opportunity to make a substantial impact by supporting end-to-end procurement processes and driving efficiency improvements.
About the Role: The successful candidate will join the UK Procurement team, working closely with the UK Head of Procurement and other departments to ensure the seamless supply of goods, materials, and services.
This role involves a mix of strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and performance improvement initiatives.
You will also be instrumental in developing innovative procurement processes and tracking performance metrics to drive cost efficiencies and enhance value.
Key Responsibilities: Manage procurement of materials, components, and services, focusing on quality, cost, and timely delivery.
Establish strong supplier relationships, ensuring contract compliance and optimal performance.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and leverage negotiation best practices.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on future product requirements.
Maintain clear documentation for traceability and assist with MRP principles.

Ideal Candidate: CIPS Level 4-6 or equivalent, with 5+ years in a similar role.
Proven experience in supplier management and use of MRP/ERP systems.
Strong skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Solid communication abilities and a proactive, organised approach.
Background in manufacturing, ideally with knowledge of customs import procedures (Incoterms).
