Having enjoyed year-on-year growth over the last 20 years with ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years,Delifresh has an exciting opportunity within the sales team based in the Midlands.The ideal candidate will have a great knowledge and passion for food, great people skills and be up for a challenge As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for growing and maintaining some already well-established relationships in and around the Midlands area of the UK in addition to new business generation.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will work as part of a team managing your own diary and be responsible for ensuring customers requirements are met.
Key duties and responsibilities: Operate as the key contact for accounts within your assigned area/region.
Continuously looking to maximise sales.
Ensure allocated accounts run within the expected levels of margin.
Be reactive to account issues ensuring you seek satisfactory resolution for customers.
Targeted and strategic new business prospecting.
Support customers with planning and development.
New Product presentation and tasting.
Host regular and structured depot and supplier visits with customers.
About you: Provensales experience within a similar business, ideallywithin the fresh food sector.
Experience in hospitality and/or a background as a chef would be an advantage.
Previous experience in customer care or client-facing roles.
A solid understanding of supply chain processes.
Strong proficiency in IT and digital tools.
