Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand Caddick Constructions presence in the North East.
This role is ideal for a skilled business development professional with a deep understanding of the construction industry and an extensive network within the North East region.
Experience in logistics and industrial projects is a strong advantage.
In this role, you will identify new opportunities, cultivate client relationships, and contribute to the growth of Caddicks project pipeline.
Youll work closely with internal teams and external partners, utilizing your industry insights and CRM expertise to shape the strategic direction of our North East operations.
Key Responsibilities Market Expansion and Relationship Building: Lead business development initiatives to build Caddicks presence in the North East region, with a focus on Industrial and Logistics sectors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and key decision-makers, to drive new business opportunities.
Pipeline Development and Management: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with Caddicks strategic objectives.
Proactively build and manage a robust pipeline, targeting high-value projects and clients across designated sectors.
Strategic Networking and Industry Engagement: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance Caddicks visibility and strengthen industry connections within the North East.
CRM and Data Management: Leverage CRM software, such as Salesforce, to maintain accurate records of business development activities, client interactions, and opportunity status.
Analyse data to refine business development strategies and improve lead generation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (including Estimating, Design, and Project Management) to ensure smooth transitions from business development to project initiation.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on pipeline progress, emerging market trends, and client feedback.
Required Skills and Qualifications Proven track record in business development within the construction industry, with particular focus on Residential, Logistics, and Industrial sectors.
Established network in the North East region, with demonstrated ability to engage and influence local stakeholders.
Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and the ability to manage and leverage client data effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships at all levels.
Strong organizational and strategic planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple opportunities effectively.
