Job Title: Business Assistant Duration: 3 months Job Type: Temporary Location: Manchester, Hybrid working Pay Rate: £13 per hour (weekly pay) Start Date: ASAP Background Checks: DBS and Basic Credit Check Required Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week Overview: The Business Assistant role supports a small group of senior leaders, anticipating their needs and proactively managing their workloads.
You'll help leaders stay on track and collaborate with the wider Business Support Network.
Reporting to: Leader/Operating Board Member Key Responsibilities: Manage leaders' inboxes and diaries, handling competing priorities.
Arrange travel for leaders.
Use Co-op systems like Coupa, Basware, Expenses, and Clarity.
Support and facilitate meetings, taking notes and actions when needed.
Attend and contribute to Business Support Network meetings.
Organise and plan your workload, typically weeks in advance.
Provide cover for other Business Assistants during leave.
Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure high service standards.
Conduct research and projects within set guidelines and make decisions within agreed parameters.
Summarise and analyse data to aid decision-making.
Work with leaders to maintain governance and escalate where needed.
Proofread documents for leaders.
Skills & Capabilities: Proficient in IT, using software like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues, leaders, and stakeholders.
Excellent at multitasking and managing changing priorities.
Able to analyse data, conduct research, and follow procedures with attention to detail.
Familiarity with business and market awareness.
Ability to adapt to new software updates and business needs.
