Job Description: Senior Business Analyst Job Summary: The Banking Business Analyst will play a critical role in shaping and enhancing our retail banking products, with a strong emphasis on Savings .
This role requires a deep understanding of retail banking operations, product management, and business analysis.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to identify business needs, analyze requirements, and contribute to the successful delivery of banking solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Product Analysis: Analyze existing Savings products and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders (e.g., Product Managers, Operations, IT) to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for retail banking products.
Process Mapping: Develop detailed process maps, user stories, and use cases to guide the development and enhancement of Savings products.
Market Research: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay informed about industry trends and ensure our products remain competitive and compliant with regulations.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, Compliance, and Marketing, to ensure alignment of business objectives and technical solutions.
Solution Design: Translate business requirements into functional specifications and work with technical teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
Testing and Validation: Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet the business requirements and quality standards before deployment.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals and progress.
Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements and efficiencies within retail banking operations and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our products.
Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services industry, with a strong focus on retail banking products.
Proven experience in Savings products is essential.
Experience working on product implementation or enhancement projects within a retail banking environment.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, including process modeling, requirements gathering, and documentation.
Familiarity with retail banking systems and platforms, especially those related to Savings.
Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of retail banking products, with a particular focus on Savings accounts and related financial services.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Project Management: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with digital banking platforms and fintech solutions related to Savings.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in retail banking.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or similar.
