Be-IT are working with an exciting organization based in Glasgow to recruit a Business Analyst on a full-time, permanent basis.
This role is critical in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions.
The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to identify business requirements, analyze processes, and recommend solutions that enhance business efficiency and effectiveness.
You will be responsible for understanding the business needs of the organization, analyzing processes, and developing requirements that lead to the creation of technology or process solutions.
This role involves working closely with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure that business requirements are clearly understood and translated into functional solutions that align with the organizations goals.
The role: Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, users, and subject matter experts, to gather and document business requirements.
Analyse and document current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement.
Develop detailed function specifications, use cases, and process models that guide the development of solutions.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders to discuss requirements, project status, and solution options.
Manage stakeholder expectations by providing regular updates and clarifying any changes in project scope requirements.
Solution Development and Evaluation: Work closely with the innovation and Technology teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Assist in the evaluation of proposed solutions, considering factors such as cost, feasibility, and alignment with business objectives.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains within the organization.
Recommend changes to existing business processes or the development of new processes that align with best practices and industry standards.
Support the implementation of process improvements by providing guidance and training to users.
Project Support: Support project managers in the planning, execution, and delivery of projects by providing detailed business analysis and requirements documentation.
Contribute to the development of project plans, timelines, and resource allocation based on business analysis insights.
Assist in the identification and mitigation of project risks by analyzing potential impacts and developing contingency plans.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans and test cases to validate that solutions meet the specified business requirements.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) with stakeholders to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose and ready for deployment.
Identify and document defects or issues discovered during testing and work with the technical team to resolve them.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience in business analysis, process improvement, or a related role, preferably within the transport industry.
The ideal candidate will have : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business needs and propose solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, such as process modelling, SWOT analysis, and requirements elicitation.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Experience with project management methodologies is a plus.
