Job summary Full-timeMonday-FridayIf you are a motivated individual, who wishes to be part ofa team that supports the Trust in the day-to-day delivery of excellent patientcare, you may wish to apply for the post of Booking Clerk.The post will be located in the Contact Centre at Woodside.The post holders main duties will be to responsible for theprovision of an efficient and comprehensive physiotherapy and podiatry bookingservice to patients, ensuring a high level of customer care and maintainingconfidentiality at all times.For further information and informal discussion pleasecontact Michelle Easton, Contact Centre Operational support Manager Ext: 7332 Main duties of the job Provide an accurate, efficient and quality booking servicefor TRFT Consultants and Specialities with regard to the processing ofappointment referrals in accordance with Trust and Government targets andcurrent practices and procedures..
Processing referrals onto the Patient AdministrationSystem (Meditech/Systm1) with specific attention to the data items required forcommissioning purposes and data quality.
Respond to all enquiries and contact with members of thepublic and staff of all disciplines with tact, sensitivity and confidentialityat all times.
Participate in the modernisation of systems and implementnew ways of working, adhering to and changing systems in accordance with newand existing Government and Trust targets, policies and procedures.
Regular review of own systems and working practice and putforward proposals for changes to working practice and procedures.
Maintain the confidentiality of any information obtainedregarding patients and be aware of the Data Protection Act, Caldicott andFreedom of Information policies.
Active participation in the event of a Major Incident Provide flexibility in terms of hours working inaccordance with the needs of the service.
Attendance at training sessions is essential.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to GCSE pass level (English and Mathematics) Desirable NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service or willingness to work towards ECDL/CLAIT or equivalent Experience Essential Previous NHS experience Knowledge of patient administration systems Desirable Previous reception/clerical or customer care experience Knowledge Essential Confidentiality and an understanding of the Data Protection Act Desirable NHS Background
