An exciting opportunity awaits you to become a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, dedicated to delivering high-quality care to elderly rheumatology post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary Point of Delivery team (POD), and will provide support in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed in a timely manner.
The post holder will also act as the point of contact for patients regarding all administrative issues relating to the patients' pathway of careProposed Interview Date - 13th December 2024 Main duties of the job As a Biologics Coordinator, you will manage the administrative processes associated with biologic treatments.
Working closely with consultants and the medicine administration team, you will oversee the initiation and continuation of funding pathways for these complex therapies.
Acting as the primary point of contact, you will address queries from patients and colleagues, ensuring a seamless care journey.
Key responsibilities include: Coordinating effectively with pharmacy, clinical, and multidisciplinary teams for prescription management and patient tracking.
Maintaining accurate data and patient records to support ongoing and future treatments.
Monitoring patient invoices and consumable orders, raising any concerns with lead specialist nurses and consultants to ensure optimal resource use.
Organising and managing your workload to meet tight deadlines, thereby supporting clinical staff in providing efficient and timely care.

Job description Job responsibilities ***Please see the attached supporting document which contains more information about the role in the job description and person specification** Person Specification Qualifications Essential NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration/Customer Care or equivalent experience Educated to GCSE/ O level or equivalent including Grade C or higher in Maths and English Desirable Evidence of on-going continuous personal development (CPD) and training Experience Essential Knowledge of healthcare administrative systems and processes (Experience of scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions) Experience of using full range of IT systems and patient data systems (including advanced understanding of MS Office packages, Cerner/ERS trained) Knowledge of NHS patient pathways - RTT & Cance Experience of prioritising own workload Desirable Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary environment Skills Essential Evidence of being a team player Example of Confidentiality Desirable Experience of customer service in a multi-cultural environment
