As a Premises Support Officer, your main responsibilities will be: Supporting the supervisor in terms of facilities arranging for repairs and maintenance of equipment and Liaising with visitors.
Working day is varied and could be split as below it is emphasised that there is not an requirement for qualifications to be held in fire safety , HS, or maintenance a good knowledge and common sense approach to those is required.
20% Health and Safety Regulations 10% Maintenance work, liaising with contractors 10% Customer Service which will consist of meeting and greeting visitors.
20% Staff management 15% Liaising with contractors such as G4S and cleaning contractor.
10% Financial management ensuring that any requests for equipment are properly logged and cost attached 10% Building control security access and control.
Core Day to Day Duties.
The post holder is responsible for providing support to the Premises Officer (SEO) to manage the operationally ready temporary facilities for the SPS inspection requirements at Belfast port in line with the project plan.
The post holder will also have responsibility for facilities at Warrenpoint Port.
The Premises Officer is responsible for ensuring all Health & Safety elements, including fire safety on the site are carried out in line with policy.
The Premises Officer is also responsible for ensuring Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in accordance with the agreed schedule & ad-hoc works are carried out within an appropriate time-frame.
Health and Safety - Support the Premises Officer to ensure Seaport facilities are operated in line with Health and Safety and Fire Safety Policy by managing completion of accident investigations and risk assessment across the sites.
Be the nominated fire precautions officer to ensure all mandatory evacuation drills are completed and provide report to Premises Officer.
Governance - Manage review and provide updates to SOPS, risk assessments, induction packs as required Assign tasks to admin team as necessary and follow up for completion.
Ensure financial records and track site budget spend against budget allocation, highlighting issues to the Premises Officer as required.
Staff Management - Guide support staff in Belfast site.
Allocation of work, performance and attendance management.
Essential: Own Transport.
Microsoft Office Ability to quickly build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders Knowledge of Fire safety Health and Safety Manual Handling.
