Job summary Bank Community Dietetics Support Worker Department: Nutrition & Dietetics Band 3 - £24,071-25,674 per annum pro rata Hours: Bank - Up to hrs per week - part time hours will also be considered We are looking for an enthusiastic, team player with good communication skills to join our friendly nutrition and dietetic team based at Milton Keynes University will be supporting the community dietetic team who provide a dietetic service to patients in their homes and care will give you training and ongoing support to develop necessary knowledge and skills.
The role is varied and will include speaking with patients, carers and other health care professionals to ensure patients' nutritional care is provided.
A good working knowledge of Word, Excel, internet and email is required, and an interest in food and nutrition desirable, especially if you are looking to explore a career in Dietetics.
The community adult dietetic team is part of the wider Nutrition and Dietetic Department, made up of over 30 registered dietitians, dietetic support workers and admin staff, covering acute, community, paediatric and learning disability services.
We have excellent support staff and take students for clinical placements.
