Look no further.DMRC are looking for a dynamic, organised, and efficient Band 8a Psychological Wellbeing Services Manager who will be working within our Defence Medical Rehabilitation team at Stanford Hall, Loughborough.
This vacancy is a permanent position offering hours per week, if this sounds like a role for you, please apply.Benefits include:An NHS pension Free Parking An inclusive working environment Gym, swimming pool, and hot tub On-site shop Golf course, running track, and tennis court Cinema Officers mess membership Main duties of the job Responsible for the efficient operational managementof PWS.Line management responsibility for personnel andresource management within PWS.Provide effective recruitment, professionalappraisal, identification of continuing professional development (CPD) needsand performance management in those under their direct line management.Support the implementation of nationally accredited standards relating tomental and psychological health to support with military rehabilitation.Ensure the systematic provision of high-qualitymental health patient management through a small clinical caseload managingrisk assessment, mental health assessment and treatment.Facilitate liaison between the Departments ofCommunity Mental Health (DCMHs), the PWS, and all teams within DMRC tofacilitate the patient journey and maintain patient safety.
Provide specialist knowledge and implementation ofcare pathways and ensure their integration across the IDT.Act as a resource to the wider professionalcommunity, providing support and relevant training, to carry out researchactivities, audits, propose and implement policy and service developments.Work within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Code of Professional Conduct andadhere to all NMC / HCPC standards, national, and Ministry of Defence (MOD)Policies and Guidelines.

Job description Job responsibilities Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Being responsible for the development of care pathways inclusive of pre-admission and proposed discharge; supporting the care team in the management of individuals with complex care needs.
Facilitating appropriate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, liaison, education, training, and mental health promotion in collaboration with the PWS multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Making decisions to determine if patients require further intervention from the mental health teams (DCMH/PWS), including admissions to the place of safety or inpatient services.
Promoting the involvement of patients and carers in the development of the care pathway and choices, ensuring that all patients are given a full explanation of their care pathway/treatment options and no decision is taken forward without their consent.

Person Specification Experience Essential Experience in managing mental health.
Experience in treatment modalities within mental health.
Experience in managing a team.
Qualifications Essential Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registration OR Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registration.
BSc Honours Degree (Nursing OR Occupational Therapy OR Social Work OR Psychology) or equivalent if pre-2019.
Post graduate further training in psychological therapies.
