Job summary Outpatient Network are looking for Band 5+ Recovery Nurses to work with us in our ENT & Gynaecology Theatres in the West Midlands Main duties of the job Post-Operative Monitoring: Monitor patients vital signs, oxygen levels, and consciousness levels after surgery.
Identify and respond to any complications such as bleeding, respiratory issues, or reactions to anesthesia.Pain Management: Assess and manage post-operative pain, administer prescribed medications, and adjust pain relief plans as necessary to ensure patient comfort.Patient Observation: Ensure that patients are stable and prepared for discharge from the recovery unit, providing support and reassurance throughout the recovery process.Patient Documentation: Accurately document post-operative care, including assessments, interventions, and any complications, in line with hospital policies.Collaboration with the Medical Team: Work closely with anesthetists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to manage the recovery process and ensure comprehensive care.Discharge Preparation: Ensure patients receive appropriate discharge instructions, including care at home and follow-up appointments, when they are stable enough to leave the recovery unit.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Registered Nurse (RN) with the NMC.
Desirable Previous experience in recovery, post-operative, or critical care is preferred.
Basic or advanced life support training.
