Main duties of the job The role:We pride ourselves on being responsive to the needs of those accessing the service.
As such, the structure and duties of each day can vary to meet these needs.Key aspects of the role include:Undertake skilled autism diagnostic assessments (ADOS and ADI-R).
Obtain detailed developmental history through clinical interview.
Evaluation of available evidence against diagnostic criteria.
Accurate and timely record keeping of all contacts and assessments.
Contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) discussions and decision making.
Communicating the outcome of assessments with those accessing the service.
Develop defensible written reports, presenting complex information in a clear and accessible way.
Participate in post diagnostic webinars or other aftercare offers.

Job description Job responsibilities Statement of job purpose: The role will be to undertakestructured autism assessments, and to contribute to wider multi-disciplinaryteam discussions around the presence of autism for those accessing the service.
The role will play a key function in thedelivery of our aftercare service for those having received a positivediagnosis of autism.
Key responsibilities: Clinical To undertake skilled autismdiagnostic assessments (ADOS informed and/ or ADI-R) and obtain sufficient detaileddevelopmental history through clinical interview to make a decision ondiagnosis.To operate as an integral member ofthe multi-disciplinary team, contributing to discussions, decision making andproviding feedback as required.To clearly communicate the outcomeof assessments with those accessing the service, family members (whereappropriate) and professionals, in written and verbal formats.To develop defensible written reportsor information resources, presenting complex information in a clear andaccessible way.To develop and participate in postdiagnostic webinars.To contribute to the development anddelivery of other aftercare offers.To write topical articles ordiscussion points for the Autism 360 website.To maintain accurate, professionaland timely records of all contacts and assessments undertaken.To uphold the professional standards of Autism 360,the wider ADHD 360 LTD organisation and those of your own statutory body.To attendrelevant training and development in order to maintain and develop skills andknowledge required to support those accessing the service.Tomaintain current knowledge of evidence base and good practice throughengagement with variety of opportunities such as conferences, courses andmeetings.Tocontribute to audits, use reflective learning, peer discussions and developmentopportunities and action planning to generate ideas and create increasingquality within the clinical practice.To maintain registration of yourstatutory body.
General / administration To prepare for and participate inregular clinical and managerial supervision.To carry out all administrativetasks reasonably associated with the nature of the role.To adopt a supportive andconstructive approach with others in the team.To follow wider ADHD 360 LTD policiesand procedures.To undertake other duties asrequired to enhance the quality experience of those accessing the service.To be responsible for your ownhealth and safety, and maintain an effective home working environment.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Current registration with statutory body, NMC/HCPC.
MUST be trained AND experienced in administration of ADOS and ADI-R.
Desirable Post graduate qualification in autism related subject or enhanced clinical skills.
Experience Essential Experience of working with children CAMHS, pediatric services and adults.
Knowledgeable about the voice of the autistic person.
Experienced in supporting and/or working with autistic people (either lived experience or via employment).
Experience in delivering complex information in an accessible, professional manner.
Ability to adapt clinical approach to meet the needs of the person.
Knowledgeable about co-occurring conditions and differential diagnosis.
High level of IT literacy including online meeting platforms.
Desirable Involvement in regional or national autism groups.
Advanced skills in delivering training/presentations including making adaptations to present to a range of audiences.
