Job summary An opportunity has arisen for an Audio Typist within the Neurophysiology Department at York Hospital.We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can work effectively using their own initiative, as well as being part of a team.
They must be a proficient Audio Typist with the ability to transcribe complex digital dictation.The successful candidate will posses GCSE English Language, Grade C or above, or equivalent.
They must also possess excellent typing skills or RSA II level qualification as well as previous clerical/administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or customer based setting.Please Note: The position is for hours per week.We look forward to receiving your application!
Main duties of the job Duties will mainly include the audio typing of outpatient/admin letters and reports, and dealing with any subsequent instruction as indicated by the dictation such as making outpatient appointments.
Audio typing of outpatient clinic, discharge and general administrative letters.
Filing, photocopying and other administrative tasks as necessary.
Provide typing and administrative support to the medical secretariat within the Directorate as requires.
Deal with routine internal telephone queries.
Respond in a professional and sensitive manner when dealing withconfidential issues.
