Associate Scientist Lab OperationsCK Group are recruiting for a Lab Technician to join a company in the Clinical Research industry working on site in Livingston, on a contract basis for 6 months initially.

Salary: Competitive hourly rate Location: This Lab Technician role is based on site in Livingston, West Lothian.
Lab Technician Role: Responsible for performing & documenting analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs & regulatory guidelines.Performs routine data analysis to determine if an analytical procedure is proceeding according to expectations &that the results are within acceptable tolerances.Prepares data analysis results for upload to LIMS system under the guidance of senior level staff.Assists in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution.Assists in the review and update of laboratory procedures and techniques.Performs and document calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment as assigned.Your Background: Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BSc in in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, medical laboratory technology or cytotechnology.
).Previous working experience in a regulated laboratory environment.Proficiency with routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
