Job Summary: A leading investment firm is seeking a proactive Desktop Technician to join its IT Infrastructure team in the UK office. This role involves supporting the firm's global desktop environments, working closely with both the Technology team and end-users. Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality technical support via email, desk-side, and phone to resolve daily IT issues for 400+ users across the London office, five global locations, and remote staff.Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain various hardware (servers, desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals) and software systems (including Bloomberg, Citrix, and MS Office).Provide technical and analytical support across servers, storage, networking, telephony, and other IT systems.Resolve application issues and manage daily job errors.Address user requests and inquiries with a customer-focused approach.Standard hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.Collaborate closely with Systems and Networking teams to provide hands-on support for local IT infrastructure.Qualifications: Minimum 7 years of experience in technology support within the financial services sector.Self-driven, resourceful, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.Strong troubleshooting abilities, with resilience under pressure.Solid experience with Mobile Device Management (e.g., Intune, JAMF).Advanced skills in MS Office 365 (Applications and Administration), Active Directory/Group Policy, Citrix Administration, and SCCM.Scripting/automation experience (such as PowerShell).Bachelor's degree required.Demonstrates commitment to an inclusive, diverse workplace culture.
