MLS Associate Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds or Manchester (3 days per week in the office) Salary entry point: £65,000 Role Overview Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm, Pinsent Masons.

Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services, Consulting and Technology, Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS).
This role sits within our MLS team.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate (3-5 years PQE in English Law) with a strong background in asset management to join our Managed Legal Services team, supporting our Property group.
The role will provide the opportunity to work as part of a dedicated client team delivering excellent service and playing a key role in managing a large and varied portfolio of assets.
The Associate will be responsible for: Draft, review and negotiate asset management documents including leases, licences, variations, surrenders, extensions, consents and related agreements Handle grant of lease, renewals, assignments, terminations and other asset management related transactions ensuring timely service and turnaround times to client standards Ensure compliance with all regulations and codes of practice affecting client's portfolio Liaise with client in house legal, estates and operational teams to deliver a seamless and dedicated service Manage matters effectively working closely with clients and internal team to provide clear, concise advice on legal and commercial strategies specific to the client's portfolio Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.
Please note, the internal job title for this role is MLS Lawyer.
Candidate Overview We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience: Qualified Lawyer with minimum 3 - 5 years' years PQE in English Law preferably gained within a busy asset management team Strong technical expertise in asset management Proven experience with lease negotiations, renewals, surrenders and general asset management matters for large property portfolios Experience within the food and beverage sector would be advantageous Understanding of commercial issues relevant to asset management matters An interest in using legal technology solutions and platforms to deliver client service Strong commercial awareness and a solid understanding of industry trends, risk mitigation and the ability to recognise and drive efficiencies What can we offer you?
