Job summary We currently are currently recruiting an Assistant Psychologist to join Children's CAMHS teams.
Under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist, the Assistant Psychologist will actively be involved in exciting research initiatives, CAMHS pathways delivering and supporting on clinical work, part of psychological assessments and trained in models to deliver this under the supervision of a clinical psychologist.
Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust is committed to providing the highest standard of Mental Health and Learning Disabilities services for the population of Rotherham, Doncaster, North and North East Lincolnshire.
An Honours degree in Psychology (BSc), experience of working with mental health/psychological problems and good communication skills are all essential requirements.
The post holder will be offered training, professional support and supervision.
Due to the nature of the post a full-enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
Main duties of the job There will be opportunities to develop skills in research and co-working assessments with qualified clinical psychologists and the wider multidisciplinary team.
You will join a well-established multidisciplinary service with a range of professionals who work within CAMHS, Primary Care and Education settings.
You will also be working alongside other Assistant Psychologists within the team.
To support and enhance the professional care of clients within the service across all sectors of care; providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
