The UK & Ireland Marketing division are on the look out for a dynamic Assistant Marketing Manager (6 month FTC) to join the UK & Ireland team at Spectrum Brands, the company behind market-leading brands such as Russell Hobbs, Remington and George Foreman.
We service an array of customers globally including Argos, Amazon, Very, Boots and supply all of the top grocery chains, major ecommerce players all well as all the major high street customers.
Working across all elements of the Marketing Mix this is a Commercially focused role, jointly responsible for driving demand, penetration and sales for our Remington brand in the UK&I This is a Local Marketing role within an established Local / Central Marketing structure.
Your key objective will be to implement our Brand Plan goals, Strategies, Objectives & Tactics ensuring Engagement throughout the Path to Purchase and utilising all elements of the Marketing Mix.
The Role To be successful in this role it is essential to proactively take ownership and lead the implementation of our Brand Plan within the UK&I market.
With strong interpersonal and team working skills and an ability to manage multiple projects.
You will work closely with various teams within the business including International Brand, Insight & Product, UK Sales, Demand Planning, Finance, Shopper Marketing, Legal and Digital.
You will drive demand and penetration for our Remington brand in the UK and Ireland through implementing the Annual Brand Plan throughout the Path to Purchase Develop a solid understanding of the Brand and category specific knowledge to represent the UK&I Consumer/Shopper and ensure that through regular tracking, research, insight and social listening, the wants and needs of the target audience are clearly communicated Utilise this understanding to support development and activate the Brand Plan Assist Marketing Manager in managing the product portfolio across all categories Identify, present and implement opportunities for Category growth that will benefit key retailers, collaborating with both the Category Analyst and Sales Team Work with the International Product and Insight Teams to ensure our Market has an excellent and insight /evidence led Innovation Pipeline alongside renovation of our Core Ranges Satisfy retailer requirements for product exclusivity where necessary.
Jointly responsible for leading the implementation of the local annual Communication Plan throughout the Path to Purchase including: Develop a strong understanding of our Customers and the Channels they operate in Work with Shopper Marketing team and Account Managers to help develop effective on and off-line Channel & Customer strategies and activation plans Develop a good understanding of the Shoppers within these Channels and along with the Shopper Marketing team to ensure our plans are effectively brought to life at the Point of Purchase Be the face of our brands at Customer Meetings – co-develop and present at seasonal range reviews; regularly reviewing and assessing presentation format/approach Work with the wider Commercial team to co-develop and manage the Commercial Strategy for the product portfolio, utilising the Boston Matrix as an analysis frame-work Work closely with the Account Managers to ensure the effective implementation of this Commercial Strategy Proactively identify/develop winning profitable business opportunities, utilising market research to understand consumer needs and competitor analysis to ensure leadership in the market About you You will be a seasoned marketeer who has the ability to deeply understand the categories, their trends, the competitors and use this to spot new opportunities and act quickly to capitalise on them.
