Job description Assistant Manager – Modelling – 105423 Base Location: Bristol/Cardiff/Scotland plus network of 20 offices nationally: KPMG is one of the world's largest and most respected consultancies.

We help our corporate clients understand their businesses through building models, reviewing models and data analytics.
You will work on some of the most exciting projects in KPMG, primarily using Excel to deliver high quality, flexible and bespoke analytics and modelling solutions.
Our team is spread out across the country with staff in London, Glasgow, Bristol, Birmingham, and Manchester.

What will you be doing?Delivering projects primarily to our defence clients as part of KPMG's broader and market-leading defence advisory servicesDevising compelling and well thought out modelling-based solutions to support clients in tackling business issuesWorking within a network of modelling specialists, sharing experiences to develop technical and non-technical skills Building constructive working relationships to develop internal and external networksYou will deliver real solutions by translating complex business problems into models which capture the drivers of values and riskYou will work closely with teams across all functions at KPMG providing solutions to our clientsYou will have an opportunity to further develop your technical modelling and consulting skillsYou will act as workstream lead for some of your projects You will have the opportunity to support senior team members in the presentation of deliverables to senior client managementYou will have the opportunity to contribute to our business development initiatives and be an integral part of the sales process Contribute towards the development of the team and our propositions; contribute towards organising/guiding trainingCost modellingIntegrated three-statement modellingFinancial forecast and scenario modelling Transaction modelling such as valuations and option appraisalsReviewing financial models for quality sign-offDeveloping tactical solutions that automate finance and other operationsDevelopment of data models to support modelling and analytics deliverablesUsing visualisation and analytical software (such as Power BI, QlikView or Tableau) to drive insights from data to inform client decisions What will you need to do it?
Due to the nature of the work applicants should either hold or be capable of obtaining UK security clearance.Strong Excel skillsKnowledge of modelling best practiceAn understanding of accounting and financial conceptsStrong analytical and interpretative skillsAbility to describe complex technical issues in a clear and non-technical wayInitiative, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)Ability to quickly assimilate and apply new techniques and knowledge Skills we'd love to see/Amazing Extras: A recognised finance or accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/CFA or similar)Completion of a recognised financial modelling courseConsulting experienceData visualisation experience in Power BI, QlikView or TableauExperience in roles that require an understanding of the unique nature of defence cost modelling To discuss this or wider Consulting roles with our recruitment team, all you need to do is apply, create a profile, upload your CV and begin to make your mark with KPMG.
