Our client, a global Professional Services firm, are looking for an Asset Engineer to join the expanding operations centre.
The successful candidate will work to configure, pack and ship computers, monitors and peripherals to contractors working from home.
Asset engineers work to project requirements and risk guidelines to ensure all contracts have required accesses, restrictions and setup to enable them to complete their jobs.
Additional tasks may be required to assist in testing, and fixing issues.
Tell Me More Location: Reading -On site Rate: £22,500 + bonus (Regular rate reviews, based on performance) Work Pattern: Standard business hours Start Dates: ASAP Duration: Initial 2-year fixed term contract Role Responsibilities: Reviewing account provisioning for new joiners and transfers to ensure all access and restrictions are in line with specific project requirements to ensure all Deloitte users have the correct setup.
Configuration of computers to project and user requirements.
Re-imaging of all returned and in stock computers to ensure they are clean of all previous user, project, and client data.
Assist in auditing all in stock assets along with packaging material to maintain a suitable quantity of kit to enable future demand to be met.
Creation of a variety of documents using D-ROC templates as part of all auditing, build and configuration activities.
Responsible for the development of new accesses, restrictions, or software technology solutions, within D-ROCs technical standards.
Responsible for the formal testing of changes to existing solutions supported by D-ROC or the testing of new build solutions created by D-ROC.
Accountable and responsible for developing and improving relationships with engineering and related functions across Deloitte in support of shared standards and D-ROC activities.
Contributing to the ongoing development and review of technical principles and standards applicable to technical assessment, review, design, build and support activities in D-ROC.
Providing, as required, technical insight and expertise in areas of knowledge to D-ROC colleagues and D-ROC projects.
Supporting the development, maintenance, improvement, and management of risk controls pertaining to the activities of solution architecture within D-ROC.
What Knowledge, Skills & Experience We Need Some formal education or training in computer science or an applied computing discipline would be an advantage however is not essential.
General computing skills and knowledge.
Individuals must be enthusiastic, driven and take pride in their ability to deliver high quality work.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unhappy clients with professionalism and politeness.
Evidence of a flair for creativity, problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Enthusiasm for technology and commitment to developing new skills and remaining current with technology trends.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
