Job description As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for a range of duties related to vehicle maintenance and repair.
Your responsibilities will include: Maintenance, servicing and inspections for all relevant equipment platforms in accordance with policy.
Forecast Maintenance in line with business priorities.
Maintain issued personal tools, equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Supervise and manage the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) locker Monitor the Lifting and Recovery Equipment (LRE) within the Workshop, identify and quarantine out of date equipment by way of before and after use checks.
Conduct asset management activity in accordance with policy.
Demand and receipt spares in accordance with policy Demonstrate the highest possible standards of Engineering hygiene.
Any other reasonable duties or details within their area of responsibility.
Person specification We are looking for qualified engineers to join our team of military and civilian personnel and must be able to work as part of a team and manage their own workload.
They will be customer focused and able to quickly build good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
They will have to be fully qualified (NVQ Level 3 as a minimum in Automotive Engineering) in the Automotive trade and have appropriate experience and qualifications to allow them to work with little or no supervision.
