Short DescriptionOur client has been producing high quality furniture for nearly I 00 years and they have a passion for innovation in design and manufacturing.Bullet PointsThe role is based in the Northern England & Scotland areasA Salary of £35,000.00 per annumAt least 2 years experience in a sales roleThe Company:Our client continues to manufacture high quality, solid wood products at its state-of-the-art factory in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire as wellas sourcing products from several companies around the world.The Role: We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team as Area Sales Manager for Northern England and Scotland on a full-time basis, supporting and developing our existing customer base, as well as identifying new opportunities for growth within the territory.This is a high-profile role within Our Client and whilst experience in the furniture sector is desirable, it is not essential.
However, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record ofgrowing and developing a mature sales territory coupled with enthusiasm and desire to succeed.Whilst this position will be heavily focussed on the key independent furniture retailers across the North of England and Scotland, some experience of working with national accounts in the furniture sector would also be a benefit.About you: You will be a self-starter, with strong negotiation skills, is target driven and can develop superb relationships with both customers and internal colleagues to help achieve the Company's objectives for growth.
Based in the North of the country you will make frequent trips to your dealers tocarry out your role with regular travel to the head office in Princes Risborough.
Key Duties: Responsible for the relationship, management, and growth of the existing retail accounts within your territory, while actively prospecting for new distributors, domestic interior design accounts, and opportunities.
Analyse sales figures to help identify key growth opportunities within the individual Assist with day-to-day queries from those accounts within your territory.Develop and maintain an effective product display within these accounts.Work closely with colleagues in the field and at Head Office, which will include:Assisting with some national account administration.Visit the national account stores in your area on a regular call cycle and report back to the Sales & Marketing Director.Conduct training, and assist day-to-day queries from those national account stores within your territoryOrganisational & Communication skillsCoordinate and manage own journey plan.Maintain Outlook calendar of journey plans.Organise and conduct meetings both in-store and at the factory.Carry out product training for Retailer staff, both in-store and at the factory.Eager to learn and progress within the businessProgression to include increased account base responsibility.Work to Quarterly and Annual KPI's / Sales Targets.Competences & Skills:You will be confident to engage with all areas of the Company, it is a hands-on role working with many departments, so it will be important to build relationships.2 years experience in a sales roleExcellent communication skills, both written, visually and verbally, with the ability to communicate to all levelsWell organised, detail-conscious, able to multitask, always looking for efficiencies and better ways of doing thingsKnowledge of Microsoft excel and word.A flexible team player, able to support and integrate within a small, hardworking and friendly team.Full-time role – Monday to Friday.
