Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Service Manager Social Care Adult Care and Community Wellbeing Social Care Qualified - Adult Lincolnshire, Lincoln £56, 769 - £62,278 15% Market Rate Supplement (Agreed until March 2025)) Permanent Full-time 17/11/2024 It's an exciting time for the AMHP Service in Lincolnshire and we are seeking to appoint an innovative, ambitious and customer driven AMHP Service Manager to develop and deliver an outstanding 24/7 AMHP service for Lincolnshire, working closely with partners to deliver a 'gold standard' service for the people of Lincolnshire.
Those joining us will have the opportunity to shape and influence a specialist team who undertake MHAAs and deliver the out of hours Urgent social care response.
About the Role Reporting to the Head of Safeguarding, you will be the statutory Lead AMHP for Lincolnshire .
You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of working practices, robust policies, procedures and processes that support the delivery of an outstanding 24/7 AMHP service, which includes responsibility for the out of hours urgent social care response.
You will provide day to day leadership, management and direction to two line managers and all those working within the service.
You will drive high aspirations and the development of a 'gold standard' AMHP service, taking responsibility for ensuring the best possible outcome for those using the service.
You will work closely with colleagues from other areas of the Council, sharing knowledge, promoting, and supporting the role of the AMHP and contributing to the wider objectives of the Council.
You'll also work closely with partners across the wider health and social care network, developing a whole-system response to ensure the most effective outcomes for service users, promoting the role of AMHP and acting as ambassador for the Council in local, regional and national forums.
You will be based in our dedicated AMHP hub on the Lincoln campus, utilising a hybrid working model.
You will not be expected to carry a caseload but will be expected to undertake the role of AMHP to maintain your registration and when necessary to support the service.
You will also participate in the out of hours on-call manager's rota.
The role will include some out of hours working.
You will operate frameworks for Recruitment, Service Improvement and Quality Assurance, using agreed appropriate competencies, performance standards and review processes, identify areas for practice improvement and scope and implement organisational development work to promote best practice.
About You To apply for this role, you must be a qualified AMHP , so, you must be a registered social worker, mental health nurse, LD nurse, occupational therapist, or clinical psychologists who has successfully completed accredited post qualification training as an Approved Mental Health professional.
You must have excellent knowledge of Mental Health and Social Care legislation, including safeguarding adults, and significant previous management experience.
