Job summary The Apprentice Health and Care Intelligence Specialist post holder will focus on analysing health and care data to improve population health outcomes and health inequalities, implement policies, and enhance the efficiency of healthcare services across Coventry and Warwickshire.
The role involves working with large datasets, collaborating with government bodies, and ensuring compliance with public health regulations.
The post-holder will undertake an apprenticeship designed to enable them to deliver advanced analytics which impact strategic and operational levels.
They will work with existing health and care data and have responsibility for designing or carrying out bespoke data collections when required.
Main duties of the job Lead on the linking, analysis and interpretation of complex health, care and population data using the most appropriate specialist health analytical, epidemiological and biostatistical techniques.
Leading on the preparation of reports and visualisations for the ICB and relevant stakeholders.
Leading and overseeing on the design and development of data and reporting infrastructure.
Effectively communicate analytical/statistical findings to non-analytical professionals.
Leading on ensuring data analysis aligns with public health policies and regulations and ensure compliance with health and care information governance standards and legislation.
Foster strong collaborations with government agencies, public health officials, and community leaders.
Maintain strict confidentiality in the handling of information which may contain personal identifiable information.
Contribute strategic insights and analysis to the planning of population health and health inequalities projects through high-level data analysis.
Lead the implementation of change management strategies to ensure the organization adapts effectively to evolving data systems and technological advances.
Develop the skills and analytical capabilities of both technical and non-technical staff.
Manage the delivery of multiple high-priority health and care intelligence projects.
Critically appraise relevant evidence and scientific literature, providing high-level recommendations based on data analysis.
About us Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for commissioning NHS services on behalf of people in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Our vision is more than just an aspiration, it is the driver for real change across Coventry and Warwickshire Job description Job responsibilities Qualifications/Education: At least one of the following- An undergraduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) subject.
An undergraduate degree in Social Sciences ( Psychology, Geography, Economics, Accounting) with Research Methods and/or Statistics and quantitative degree modules, and an undergraduate dissertation with a research or data analysis component Level 4 or higher qualification in STEM or a related field that includes substantial mathematical content (, Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Computing, Engineering, or Science) Professional registration with FEDIP through the Association of Healthcare Analysts (AphA) at Practitioner or Senior Practitioner level Equivalent analytical work experience ( Band 6 or Band 7 data/senior analyst or similar role Knowledge, Training and Experience Strong understanding of public health data and regulatory requirements.
Ability to work with government databases and public health information systems.
Experience of using Microsoft Office applications Excel, Word and PowerPoint Experience of using visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or QlikSense.
