Job Title: PLC/Controls Engineer Location: UK (Travel across UK sites required) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension) Job Scope: Our client is a leading innovator in intralogistics and robotics, renowned for pioneering cutting-edge solutions that streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
With a commitment to technological advancement, they harness the power of automation to transform traditional warehousing and fulfillment processes, setting new industry standards.
As a Controls Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency across various warehouses and fulfillment centers.
Your primary responsibilities will include: - Implement and manage the rollout of PLC updates across various Amazon sites to ensure optimal performance of robotic and automation systems.
- Analyse current processes and develop improved SOPs aimed at enhancing operational performance.
Work closely with teams to establish performance metrics and robust feedback mechanisms to track improvements.
- Partner with local operations teams and Reliability Maintenance Engineering to identify, analyse, and resolve issues related to robotic and automation systems.
Your technical insights will be essential in driving timely solutions and maintaining system uptime.
Requirements: - Strong technical understanding of robotic and automation systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and enhance system functionality.
- Proven experience with PLC programming and updates, demonstrating your capability to work with complex control systems.
- Must be willing and able to travel extensively (100% of the time) between various sites across the UK to provide hands-on support and guidance.
