Job summary Analytics Business Partner vacancy in Planned Care Analytics Team is available on 12 months Fixed Term contract as maternity leave cover.The post-holder will be responsible for providing the information requirements, analysis and reporting needed to support the Planned Care team in delivering against the Trust's policy, strategic and operational objectives, with a particular focus on Women's Health and Children.They will have strong analytical and statistical skills/knowledge with an in-depth experience of stakeholder management and analytic delivery for operational, performance and planning decision support.We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate analytic minded person who will be able to use data to provide creative, accurate and robust solutions for stakeholders that will enable them to make evidence-based decisions.
They need to be proactive, have a good attention to detail, great communication skills and can-do attitude.
Main duties of the job Proactively engaging with colleagues and other key contacts to achieve a shared understanding of information requirements and support the development of effective working relationships.Providing specialist advice and expertise on data definitions, analysis and interpretation.Producing a range of standard management reports and inputs to the development of new reports for varying audiences such as the Trust Board and other relevant management boards and committees.Developing routine and ad hoc reports presented in a clear, digestible, and useable format to meet the information requirements of the stakeholder(s).Implementing processes to investigate data errors, identifying and analysing sources of variations or errors in information reports, monitoring and auditing data quality and working with services to improve the quality and integrity of the information in the Trust Patient Administration System (PAS) with significant impact on patient care and Trust finances.Sourcing information and keeping up-to-date on new data sources to support benchmarking and project work.Ensuring information is processed in accordance with Information Governance Policy.Working with senior colleagues in shaping strategy and policy for the Information Service, promoting a culture of evidence based decision makingUndertaking other tasks as required by the Senior Analytics Business Partner.

Person Specification Skills Essential Ability to investigate data issues, problem solve and identify/promote solutions Ability to use professional judgement and advise others on best practice, national guidelines and legislation on Information Management Advanced SQL and Excel skills Ability to review performance data/reports and share the findings with operational/clinical teams Strong presenting and communication skills Desirable Experience in using Power BI Understanding the main principles and workflows of Cerner EPR system Experience Essential Extensive knowledge of NHS Data Definitions, Standards, Data Manual and statutory requirements.
Experience in reports building and using visualisation techniques/tools to support analysis Substantial experience working for NHS and engaging with operational and clinical stakeholders Desirable Knowledge and experience of understanding user needs, seeking feedback to improve reporting, analytics and insight delivery.
Qualifications Essential Educated to first degree level in a numerate/quantitative discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience and competencies in relevant or similar roles.
Evidence of continuing professional development Desirable Management qualifications.
