We have two positions available for Analytical Development Intern/Student in Larne starting in the summer of 2025 for a 12 month placement!
This role is for third level students in a relevant discipline who will be returning to complete the final year of their degree after the 12 months placement is completed.
The role is an exciting opportunity to work within the dynamic and ever-changing environment of R&D within a pharmaceutical facility.
This role will give the right candidates invaluable hands-on experience and the opportunity to work with leading scientists and with life changing projects on a daily basis!
A Day in the Life of our Analytical Development Intern To work within a multi-functional team, interacting with colleagues within the Larne site.
To support the development of drug dosage forms To perform routine and non-routine analyses, to participate in investigative work and in trouble-shooting, as required.
To be responsible for the delivery of testing aspects of development projects to meet agreed timelines.
Understand the reporting and investigation of unexpected results and failures and complete appropriate documentation with guidance.
To be capable of using relevant equipment within the laboratory in a competent manner and in accordance with documented procedures.
To undertake a research project within the department, which will include a written report and presentation to Senior Management To maintain neat and accurate records.
To develop prior knowledge and understanding of materials, products and processes through background reading.
Who we are looking for Are you….
Working toward a minimum of a 2:1 degree in Chemistry (including Analytical or Medicinal), Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy or related discipline and are in your penultimate year?
Familiar with good laboratory practice and all relevant procedures and guidelines?
Passionate about working in an environment where changing peoples lives is at the forefront of what we do every day?

Demonstrable IT Skills e.g.
Microsoft Office?
Experience working in a lab (University)?
Excellent communication/presentation skills?
Proven ability to maintain high standards of work and attention to detail?
