Airport Operations Manager

Oaklands Global is currently looking to recruit an experienced AOM for our reputable client based in the UK.
The Airport Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the airport, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance across all functions.
This includes managing airside, landside, and terminal operations, coordinating with various internal teams, and liaising with external stakeholders to maintain operational excellence.
As the Airport Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team, optimising operational processes, and driving improvements to enhance the overall passenger experience.
You will also be required to manage emergency procedures, monitor performance metrics, and ensure adherence to aviation regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of airport operations, including airside, landside, and terminal activities.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
Supervise and support operational teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
Manage airport resources, including staff, equipment, and facilities, to maximize efficiency.
Develop and implement operational procedures, emergency plans, and contingency strategies.
Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, security services, and other airport stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
Lead and manage daily operations meetings, addressing any emerging issues or challenges.
Conduct regular audits of airport operations and recommend improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
Analyse operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
Respond to and manage operational disruptions, including weather-related delays, security incidents, and other emergencies.
Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained across all operational areas.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in airport operations.
Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in airport operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role within the aviation industry.
Strong knowledge of airport operations, safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry standards Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with airport management software.
Experience in managing budgets and resources efficiently.
Strong understanding of emergency response procedures and crisis management.
