Please apply for this job as soon as you can, if interested*** An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join the Birmingham Wheelchairs Service team at West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre.
Working with both Clinical staff and the existing administration team, you will be involved with contributing to the provision of a comprehensive administration service; you will be a focused and motivated individual with an eye for detail and the ability to work well under pressure.
High levels of organisation skills will be required with good IT skills and the ability to learn patient and equipment record systems.
As part of this role, you will be required to liaise with patients, carers and external agencies, the ability to remain calm and be empathetic when dealing with these queries some of which will be from patients who have a range of complex disabilities is essential.
Main duties of the job Provide administrative support to the patient pathway process, ensuring information is recorded timely and accurately:Monitoring the NHS inbox and responding or escalating all emails into the service in a timely manner.Validation of the Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathways.Scheduling patients clinic appointments, domiciliary visits and non-face to face activity.
Booking them on RIO and sending relevant information.Recording activity and appointment outcomes including: discharges, Did Not Attends (DNAs).Raising and completing complex equipment orders.Deal with a high volume of telephone enquires/queries received into the service ensuring any messages are communicated timely and accurately.Update identified Microsoft outlook calendars, calendars may be shared or belong to individuals.Lead on scheduling for school and seating clinics.
