Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an admin assistant to join the District Nursing team.
The role is very varied, interesting and rewarding.
The service is very busy resulting in a fast pace working environment.
Main duties of the job Taking telephone calls, transferring to colleagues or taking messages.
Data recording.
Preparing and emailing letters.
Photocopying.
Filing/Scanning Dealing with post.

Job description Job responsibilities To assist in the general efficient running of sub-specialty offices including typing, filing, retrieval and storage of patient records, handling post and dealing with telephone enquiries.To cover for other Band 2 Clerical jobs as required .To act up to Band 3 for short-term absences annual/sick leave .
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in three subjects including English and Mathematics Grade A-D or equivalent experience to demonstrate good numeracy or literacy skills Desirable NVQ Level 2 Additional qualifications in Word Processing or Spreadsheets RSA || Typing or text or word Experience & Knowledge Desirable Experience of desk top publishing Other Requirements Essential It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holder has a valid driving licence and is either a car owner and able to use the car for work purposes, or has a Trust personal lease vehicle which may be used for the role.
However, the Trust would consider making reasonable adjustments to the role, if necessary, to enable a disabled person to undertake the role
